Should we use Facebook Lite ?

If you love Facebook and live in one of the world’s merging market nations — what used to be called the Third World — and do not have access to high speed Internet services, then you are in luck. Facebook just introduced “Facebook Lite app,” a new app for Android that uses less data and works well across all network conditions. The is likely to be kept to developing nations where network infrastructure is poor, and the number of entry-level devices are higher.

Facebook Lite for android is less than 1MB so it is fast to install and quick to load. It includes Facebook’s core experiences like News Feed, status updates, photos, notifications and more, Lite is the latest update from Facebook, which also recently updated how locations are shared on Messenger and added support for GIFs

So basically it is designed for 2G networks and areas with slow or unstable connections. Also, since it is compatible with Android 2.2 or higher devices, almost all Android devices are eligible for this app. Lightweight apps are designed to be smaller, use less data, and run even in places where mobile bandwidth is scarce. These apps can also run on older or less powerful devices that don’t have the software needed to run newer Android apps.

Have fun with Facebook lite for PC
